Mother-Daughter Duo
Lakes Area Custom is ran by Jamie Ward & her daughter, Julia.
Jamie is a self-taught maker who is constantly researching new methods of painting, woodworking, and sign making. Jamie runs on Mountain Dew & Pizza Rolls (Not sponsored, but we wish).
Julia is a recent Graphic Communications graduate from UW-Stout & loves designing new signs, marketing our products, and snuggling with her cats and dog (follow them on insta: @breckyandthecats)
We started LAC in 2016 after getting many requests to make signs for our family, friends, & local community. For the first 6-8 months, we focused on custom orders and perfecting our craft. In 2017, we decided to host our first paint party with our neighborhood, AND WE LOVED IT! We've been hosting parties around the Twin Cities and Brainerd lakes area ever since. We've recently moved to Crosby, MN and now host our parties here.
Our passion is creating new and custom signs, and getting people together to celebrate. We love gathering people together for community benefits, hosting surprise parties, celebrating a new bride, or just because! Whatever occasion, we're ready to party!
